Comms-Online,
Ireland’s first independent communications and consulting brokerage
house in Dublin, today celebrates its first anniversary in the
deregulated Irish telecommunications marketplace. The event
was to be marked by the presence of the Minister for Public Enterprise,
Mary O’Rourke
at the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin, however due to the untimely death
of Mr Bernie Cahill she was unable to attend. Minister
O’Rourke commended Comms-Online saying:
“An
independent recommendation from Comms-Online of a providers services
is a very positive validation. Using Comms-Online potential
customers will be able to measure and match provider services
against their specific requirements through a visibly competitive
marketplace. This new channel to market clarifies what is really on
offer in the bandwidth and hosting arena”
Mr
Niall O’Donochu, principle officer of the Communications Development
Division within the Department attended in her place. He welcomed the opportunity
to be present at a celebration in the technology industry and
praised Comms-Online.Com for their successful growth and development
over the past twelve months.
Comms-Online
has recently upgraded its website to allow interactive, online
quotations to be received for Voice, Data, Internet, Hosting and
managed services. In
addition, it is also in the process of integrating leading global
news wire services to deliver the most focused news and white papers
and financial results for the communications industry in the UK and
Irish market place.
“A
year on and in the midst of a more troubled economic outlook, we are
confident that the changes affected by deregulation will continue to
provide greater benefits to Irish and international businesses
located here. Our role
is one, and will continue to be one, of developing a business
practice which will become the benchmark of excellence for the
procurement of communications product and services.” says Cormac
Reid, managing director, Comms-Online
